Sidekiq™ X4
- ADRV9009-based
- VITA 57.1 FMC form factor and 3U VPX compatible
- 4 Rx + 4 Tx
- Tuning range from 1MHz to 6GHz
The Epiq Sidekiq X4 and Sidekiq VPX400 are wide bandwidth, high performance SDR solutions for demanding RF applications. Both of these SDRs enable advanced features like phase synchronization and frequency hopping by leverage an RFIC from Analog Devices – the ADRV9009.
The ADRV9009 is part of the ADI RadioVerseTM family of RF transcievers. It is specifically designed to satisfy the requirements of high performance, wide bandwidth radio equipment. In addition it supports many advanced features like phase synchronization and frequency hopping.
The ADRV9009 has two primary receive paths, each capable of digitizing 200MHz of bandwidth. Additionally there is an observation receive path capable of digitizing 400MHz of bandwidth. The two transmitters can also generate 400MHz of bandwidth. All of the receivers, observation receivers, and transmitters can be tuned from 75MHz to 6GHz.
The Sidekiq X4 and VPX400 both leverage the ADRV9009 to create highly integrated SDR solutions. The X4 encorporates two of the ADRV9009 RFICs into a VITA 57.1 FMC form factor. The allows for the X4 to be compatible with a wide range of FPGA and GPU carrier cards. The VPX400 integrates the X4 onto a 3U VPX, SOSA aligned FPGA carrier card to provide a complete RFIC and signal processing SDR solution, capable of receiving and transmitting multiple channels of 100s of MHz of instantaneous bandwidth.
With dual-channel receivers, observation receiver, dual-channel transmitters, digital signal processing functions, and integrated synthesizers, the ADRV9009 is an exceptional choice for numerous applications where performance and bandwidth is key. Contact our highly experienced tech team at Epiq for more information on how to best incorporate either the ADRV9009 with our new high performance SDRs, the Sidekiq X4 and VPX400, or with any other questions you may have.
