Job Description

Epiq Solutions is seeking to fill several new sales positions to grow the Federal customer base of a new, state-of-the-art IT / Security product called Flying Fox.

Flying Fox was developed in collaboration with the Federal Government (Naval Research Lab) and Epiq Solutions has the sole rights to manufacture and sell Flying Fox. Flying Fox is on the DoDIN Approved Products List and is the only product endorsed by the Federal Government for the purposes of Wireless Intrusion Detection Systems (WIDS).

In this position you will be selling a Federally developed, yet commercially owned, solution to the Federal Government. It is currently well underserved and the government is purchasing these products despite a lack of sales involvement. We are a young and agile company that wants to grow, and this new hire will be at the forefront of this growth as we build out a top notch sales team focused on this product. Unlimited potential.

Skills & Experience

The candidate must exhibit a strong knowledge of the entire Federal market space and show verifiable success in several Federal verticals as well as strong, long-term customer relationships in the Federal Market. Sales experience of a technical product is a must, and preferably an IT product. Start-up experience is preferred.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Engage new and existing customers and communicate the value proposition of Flying Fox
  • Build and maintain a consistently strong pipeline
  • Proactively use and assist channel partners to build pipeline and close business
  • Proactively and efficiently manage resources with dedicated teams, virtual teams, and executive staff around opportunities to ensure successful outcomes
  • Coordinate and facilitate technical discussions between the customer’s technical team and Epiq’s technical team
  • Manage customers’ expectations
  • Utilize excellent sales, negotiation, and team building skills to close business
  • CONUS travel with overnight stays as required (40-60%)

No other competitor has zero false positives. No other competitor has a product developed in collaboration with Government and utilizes GOTS software (Orb-weaver from NRL). NRL is currently the largest channel for sales leads for this product. No other competitive product is on the DoDIN APL.
